Gardasil HPV Vaccine Attorneys

What is Gardasil?

Gardasil is a vaccine developed in 2006 by the pharmaceutical company Merck & Co, used to treat human papillomavirus, also known as HPV. HPV is a very common sexually transmitted disease, transmitted by skin-to-skin contact.

Why Are We Investigating the Gardasil Vaccine?

Oliver Law Group is investigating the Merck & Co Gardasil HPV vaccine because of these following reasons; Merck & Co fraudulently concealed facts about the Gardasil vaccine by using deceptive research and marketing. They overstated the benefits of using the Gardasil vaccine by stating that the vaccine prevents cervical cancer when it in fact increases the possibility of being diagnosed with cervical cancer. Several studies have shown that by suppressing certain HPV strains, the vaccine may promote mutagenic changes in the virus that leads to cancer. There has also been no credible studies to demonstrate that the Gardasil vaccine prevents cervical cancer. The company also understated and concealed risks and side effects associated With this vaccine. Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, also known as POTS, is the most common side effect injury associated with the Gardasil vaccine, but many others have been diagnosed with the following autoimmune diseases:

  • Gullain-Barre Syndrome

  • Small Fiber Neuropathy

  • Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

  • Autoimmune Pancreatitis

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome

  • Othrostatic Intolerance

  • CIDP- Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy

  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Autoimmune Hepatitis

  • Premature Ovarian Failure

  • Cervical Cancer

Merck & Co also failed to perform the necessary studies and medical investigations (clinical trials) by using surrogate endpoints. A surrogate endpoint is a substitute for a direct measure of how a patient feels, functions, or survives and does not measure the clinical benefit of primary interest in and of itself, but is to predict a clinical benefit. Merck & Co used this tactic to support its theory that the vaccine would be effective in preventing cervical cancer. Using surrogate endpoints allowed for the clinical trials to be shortened to a few years and obtain regulatory approvals for the vaccine without any evidence that the vaccine would prevent cancer in the long run.

Can I File a Lawsuit?

More than 42 million (CDC.gov) Americans have been diagnosed with HPV and rely on safe and effective medications/vaccines to be produced by pharmaceutical companies like Merck & Co. As of August 2022, the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation granted a motion to consolidate all Gardasil HPV vaccine lawsuits into a new class action MDL
