Exactech Knee & Ankle Recall Attorneys

Recall Investigation

While knee and ankle replacements are intended to allow a person to relieve their pain and gain full mobility again by repairing their joint damage, we are investigating the complaints that many knee and ankle replacements made by Exactech have been recalled.

Who Is Eligible?

Anyone who has received a Exactech Vantage total ankle or knee system may be eligible.  Some implants are currently listed as part of a Class 2 Device Recall by the FDA.

Although revision surgery for knees and ankles “only” takes about two and a half hours per ankle, recovery usually takes six months before a patient can walk again, and a year before a patient can achieve full functionality and participate in more demanding activities, such as sports.

However, knee or ankle revision surgery is a serious prospect, taking hours per knee/ankle and sometimes even being done in stages, and having many prospective side effects.  Despite the apparent regularly that both ankle and knee revision surgeries are done, all surgeries carry some aspect of risk, and are painful and difficult procedures to endure that are often quite expensive on top of it all.
